My name is Alex Wallace. This is my 27th year in education. I received my bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, master's degree from Cambridge College and my educational specialist's degree from Lincoln Memorial University. In addition, I have certifications in reading and gifted education. I believe my role as a teacher at Grady High School is to give my students the tools to cultivate their learning. Furthermore, I believe each and every student has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. To accomplish this goal, I will teach to the needs of each of my students so that all of them can feel capable and successful. I currently serves on the Leadership Team, BETA Club advisor, School-Based Mentor at Midtown High School. I will continue to design and present rigorous lessons which will involve the interests of my students and make learning relevant to their lives. Lastly, I will incorporate themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning in order to make all my students active learners.
